SHARON
BENNER
Sharon's painting journey started in the 1980's with classes and workshops at the Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts in Annapolis, Md. She continues to study with and paint alongside artists she admires. The artist says her artwork is designed to evoke feelings of a peaceful moment in time at a place of beauty, using Nature's rich and vast colors as inspiration. Her paintings are created in either oils or pastels and capture the light, color and mood of a scene in a loose impressionistic style. A devoted plein air painter, she can regularly be seen painting in rural, southern Pennsylvaniafrom small towns and parks to the Gettysburg Battlefield. Examples of her work can be seen at www.hanoverareaarts.com/42.
